There is a specific kind of rain in Ayrshire that doesn’t just fall; it hovers, wraps itself around you like a cold, wet blanket, and gently informs you that your outdoor photography plans for the day are thoroughly cancelled. It was during a stretch of exactly this kind of typically damp Scottish weather - when the gloaming was far too saturated to roam in - that I decided to finally build a proper digital roof over my creative head.
