The road ahead......

 Embarking on a new chapter in life can be both exciting and daunting. I've recently married for the second time, and with this fresh start, I find myself yearning for a change. The monotonous routine of the nine-to-five grind has left me feeling fed up and longing for something more.

The desire to break free from the constraints of working for others is a sentiment many can relate to. I dream of releasing the metaphorical ball and chain that comes with traditional employment, seeking liberation from the daily grind. Instead, I picture my wife and I basking in the open air, exploring uncharted territories, and embracing the freedom to roam the Highlands of Scotland.

I imagine us standing under cascading waterfalls, feeling their refreshing mist against our skin as we immerse ourselves in nature's wonders. This vision represents a yearning for adventure and a departure from conventional expectations.

As we embark on this new journey, it is important to embrace our passions and aspirations fully. Whether it's pursuing an entrepreneurial venture or seeking alternative forms of income that allow us to live life on our terms, there are countless possibilities waiting to be explored.

We remind ourselves that this road ahead is ours to shape. With determination and creativity, I believe that we can forge a path that aligns with our deepest desires while finding fulfillment outside of traditional work structures. So we're now going forth fearlessly into this new chapter of our lives – one where freedom reigns supreme, adventures await at every turn, and where standing under waterfalls becomes part of our everyday reality.

The plan is to move to Scotland with my new wife, setting up a new home in a new country is undoubtedly an adventure filled with endless possibilities.

Becoming self-employed, particularly in the field of photography, will allow us to pursue our passion while also creating a source of income. With Scotland's picturesque landscapes and rich history, it provides an ideal backdrop for capturing captivating moments through our lenses.

It's remarkable that despite venturing into photography, I still intend to continue working as an embalmer,a demonstration of my dedication and ability to balance multiple passions simultaneously.

Furthermore, remaining a recording musician and releasing my own music adds another layer of artistic expression to my already diverse pursuits. The idyllic location we will ultimately have chosen will undoubtedly inspire creativity and provide the perfect setting for composing meaningful melodies.

While this plan may require careful planning and adaptation to a new environment, it holds the promise of personal growth, professional fulfillment, and the opportunity to create a fulfilling life in Scotland.

Undertaking a new journey often requires taking some bold and unconventional first steps. It's taken a lot of courage to leave behind the comfort of a familiar environment (like my cozy two-bedroom flat in a very pleasant area of our home town of Norwich!!!) and embrace a more adventurous lifestyle. In our case, my wife and I have chosen to reside in a summerhouse nestled within the in-laws' garden - a decision that undoubtedly brings both excitement and challenges.

To make this transition smoother and give us a little more space (both physical space and head space), I've just made the practical decision to pack up my music hardware and put it into storage so as to allow me the necessary level of focus I need at this time, such is my commitment to simplifying my life and prioritising the essentials during this period of exploration.

Our plans for reconnaissance trips to Scotland demonstrate a strategic approach towards finding a new place to call home. Scotland's breathtaking landscapes and vibrant culture offer endless possibilities for creating new memories and discovering hidden gems. By conducting these trips, we are ensuring that we find the perfect location that resonates with both our aspirations and aligns with our lifestyle choices.
